Looking back at the preliminary task, what have i learnt in the progression from it to full product.

Looking back at the college magazine i created. i have learnt to do so much more in Photoshop CS4 as a whole. i find many things easier than before and this might be because i am using a layout that i am accustomed to/used to. My photography is a lot better on may main task than my preliminary task. i think this because i arranged the pictures much more efficiently rather than just "sticking them on" the page. For example in my double page spread i did the best i could to try and make it so that the person (James Shreeve aka MARCUS HENSON) was leaning on the edge of the page in his (laid back) lifestyle of the streets doing whatever/whenever. the fonts i used in my main task seemed to "fit the part" a lot better than in my preliminary task. the preliminary task had such a cartoon looking font for the audience (even though it was a college magazine). however the font JUICE that was used in my main task was such a "street" font which made it quite hip/gangster which was correct for the audience of gangster rap lovers. i tried to use a three colour scheme in my preliminary task which did not work very well to be honest, however, in my main task it worked very well with the white, blue, and gold!

i had to research many music magazines that fit my audience quite well such as "rolling stone" and "VIBE" before i could really construct a good design but eventually i managed to make it look quite professional.
